06 Nov Recap: Tyler and Quinn’s Trip to Solar Power World Gala and SPI in Anaheim
As anyone who has worked at a small company would know, being busy is a blessing. However, we’ve finally found the time to chronicle the awesome California trip that Tyler and Quinn took about a month ago.
For those who’ve forgotten, back in July, we made the exciting announcement that our company had been named Most-Forward Thinking Contractor by Solar Power World, one of our industry’s top publications. To represent our company, Tyler (President and Owner of Buffalo Solar Solutions) and Quinn (our innovative Project Manager) decided to travel to Anaheim, California at the end of September in order to attend Solar Power World’s Top Solar Contractors gala. Buffalo Solar Solutions received a plaque for being one of the nation’s Top Solar Contractors, but as those who know them personally will understand: neither Tyler nor Quinn would ever put work aside and travel across the country just to clap for other companies!
Because Buffalo Solar Solutions received an additional honor, Tyler and Quinn actually went up onstage to be presented with the award for the Most Forward-Thinking Contractor. It was a humbling moment for both Tyler and Quinn, as well as for our entire company.
While out west, Tyler and Quinn took the opportunity to attend Solar Power International (SPI)—the solar industry’s largest event—which took place this year in Anaheim. SPI is a trade show sponsored by the Solar Energy Industries Association (SEIA), featuring exhibitions from a variety of solar industry suppliers: modules, racking, batteries, inverters, financing options, apps, and more. Attending SPI allowed Tyler and Quinn to see firsthand how different trends and technologies are being implemented into the solar industry, and consider how these might impact the business operations of Buffalo Solar Solutions.
As a company, we choose to focus on the quality of our installations over quantity, and are proud that Tyler and Quinn got to walk the stage in Anaheim to show off how our unmatched customer service is paying off. As a small company, we look ahead to what we can become, but also stop to celebrate what we’ve been able to achieve in only a few short years.
