Life Storage Ridge Road marks the inauguration of our collaboration with the sustainable trailblazer and self-storage titan, Life Storage. Our journey with Life Storage commenced in early 2021, when they enlisted our expertise to bid on solar projects slated for their local facilities. With a portfolio boasting over 1,100 self-storage sites nationwide, Life Storage embarked on an ambitious sustainability mission in 2020, aiming to slash energy consumption by 12.5% by 2025 through widespread rooftop solar deployment. The 54 kW Ridge Rd project in Lackawanna, NY, exemplifies this commitment. Utilizing a specialized tilt-up racking system to optimize solar generation, the project not only surpasses historical energy usage at the Ridge Road location but also symbolizes a leap towards cleaner energy practices. Completed in a swift 3.5 months from contract to activation, clean energy began flowing from the Ridge Road facility in August 2021, marking the inception of a transformative partnership. As we look ahead, we eagerly anticipate further collaborations with Life Storage, driving forward sustainable initiatives for years to come.
